Lisa Leighton is a Brooklyn-based artist whose work explores the invented spaces within the poetry of everyday life. Leighton mines her ideas from snapshots, dreams, airports, childhood games, and old wallpaper. Using objects such as toy cameras, plastic sharks and sneaker soles, she creates scenes that integrate real and imagined space.
